Lake Placid Airport

The Lake Placid Municipal Airport is about 15 minutes from The Bark Eater at the outskirts of the village on Route 73. Hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in July and August. Runway: 4,200 feet. Services: Air Charter flights from most airports, scenic flights, tie down, and repairs. 518-523-2473.

Adirondack Regional Airport

The Adirondack Regional Airport provides the only commercial air service to the Adirondack Park. Located in Lake Clear, 30 miles from the Bark Eater, it offers easy access to the entire region.
