Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you need to cancel 21 days or more from the time of arrival you will receive a full refund minus a service fee of $25.00 for regular reservations. If a cancellation is made less than 21 days from the time of your arrival you will be charged the full amount of each room/cabin for the length of your reservation. (Please note there are different policies for large groups & weddings.)

  • Our accommodations are family friendly, but due to sound concerns, children under 5 years old are not permitted to stay at the Inn unless it is booked exclusively for your group. We do welcome children of any age at either of our cabins.

  • While we love dogs and are certain your pet is wonderful, we aim to keep our rooms allergen free for all guests to enjoy. We do make an exception for well trained dogs to stay at our Trillium Cabin, but all other accommodations are pet free.

  • We have reliable, high speed internet at the inn. We now have great satellite internet in both Sentinel and Trillium cabins as well.

  • We have a strict two-night stay policy. The cost and logistics of our cleaning and laundry services make one-night stays impractical for us. We also want our guests to have time to fully experience the inn and our surroundings!

  • Between cooking breakfast, tending to our gardens and extensive grounds, managing events, and cleaning off-grid cabins, we often aren’t in a great place to answer the phone. Please leave us a voicemail and we will be sure to respond within 24 hours. You can also shoot us an email at barkeaterinn@gmail.com if that’s easier for you. We provide additional contacts for guests to reach us in case of an emergency during their stay.

  • If accommodations are held for a group, they do not show as available via our online booking system. Please call to provide your deposit and claim your room over the phone. As we said above, we may not answer right away, but we promise to get back to you shortly.

  • A full breakfast buffet is included for all inn guests. This includes a hot dish and is typically served at 8:30am. Alternative arrangements can be made for guests departing earlier.

    We don’t include breakfast at the cabins, but you have the tools to make your own.
